Among civil servants. Stories of change What does a director of the Dutch Ministry of Security and Justice have to do with the earth quake in Haïti? How does the usher of the Ministry of the Interior and Kingdom relations cope with the arrival of a new Minister? How were the first steps towards a new National Police taken?
The Dutch Ministry of the Interior and Kingdom Relations (BZK) and the Ministry of Security and Justice (VenJ) took the move to a new building as an opportunity to look back and forward in time by capturing the daily work and special moments of those who build the organization, the civil servants.
The book takes the reader to the work of an usher, a secretary, a policy maker, several directors, an advisor on legislation, thus giving an insight in policy making over the years and perspectives of civil servants on the profession and the ever changing organization. The book consists of written portraits and short memories, a commemorating story on the building that was left behind, and we were asked to do the photography. » Download the iPDF Onder Ambtenaren’ pdf 9,8mb
